AD REINHARDT. ABSTRACT PAINTER FROM 1930S AND THROUGH 1960S. PART OF THE MOVEMENT CENTERED AROUND THE BETTY PARSONS GALLERY KNOWN AS ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM. HE WROTE AND LECTURED EXTENSIVELY ON ART AND WAS A MAJOR INFLUENCE ON CONCEPTUAL, MINIMAL ART AND MONOCHROME PAINTING.
